Oropharma Can-Tax is a red colouring agent based on canthaxanthin.
This dietary supplement enhances the colour of your red canaries, intensifies the red colour in other birds and ensures a uniform red colour. As feathers are made up of dead cells and are therefore not nourished via metabolism, they develop their colour during formation. The plumage is renewed on average once a year. This process does not take place all at once. The shedding of old feathers is stimulated by the formation of new ones, and this happens gradually, so that the bird always retains a full set of plumage.
When Can-Tax is added to the feed, canthaxanthin is transported to the site where the feather is developing, ensuring an intense red colour. Beta-apo-8’-carotenal enables even better absorption of canthaxanthin. The newly formed feather retains its colour until a new feather develops.

1. During the rearing period: 2 weeks before the first egg is laid.
2. During moulting: daily throughout the moulting period.

Store in a cool, dry place.
